The telehealth services described here are available only by referral from a healthcare professional or doctor.<\/p>\n<h2>What is it about?<\/h2>\n<p>Some mental health services use telehealth to improve follow-up care. This is the case for teams that ask service users to complete online questionnaires before their appointments. These questionnaires focus on individuals\u2019 functional difficulties and symptoms. This allows healthcare professional to assess whether the care and services obtain the desired results. This approach is guided by the <em>Quebec Program for Mental Disorders: from self-care to psychotherapy<\/em> (PQPTM).<\/p>\n<p>The use of online questionnaires has several advantages:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Helps the person prepare for meetings with his or her healthcare professional;<\/li>\n<li>Allows more time to be devoted to other therapeutic activities during consultation sessions;<\/li>\n<li>Can be done from home, at your convenience, using a computer or mobile device;<\/li>\n<li>Uses a secure, user-friendly, and confidential online portal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As with any healthcare intervention, you must give your consent first. You are therefore free at all times to decide whether or not to complete the online questionnaires. This decision will not affect the other services and care provided to you.<\/p>\n<h2>How does it work?<\/h2>\n<p>To complete the online questionnaires, you must have been invited by your healthcare professional. However, please be aware that you may soon be asked to register for the Virtual Care Platform (PSV) <em>Patient Access Portal<\/em>. This provincial platform will facilitate your telehealth activities and ensure the security of your personal information.
